In its original state this home had little color and felt cold and uninteresting. The homeowners had moved from the United States, but had a lot of leftover furniture and hadn’t purchased anything for this new space. Part of the process was evaluating what would be kept & what they needed to purchase. For the family room, we recommended a sectional for additional seating but kept the armchair of their previous set to sit by the fireplace. Their artwork was used as a jumping off point for the color in the whole main floor—warm red, orange, and gold. A bold floral within the color palate was chosen for the drapery in the family room and adjacent kitchen and a beautiful silk in a warm red tone added punch & elegance to the two-story window in the foyer stairwell. A few well-placed accessories, new lamps and artistic glass pieces added texture and interest, finishing off these rooms to perfection. Now this home has lots to say about the family living within it and truly reflects their colorful personalities!
